Auburn Keeps Rolling, Several Colleges Get First Public Commits

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 27. AUBURN is shooting for the top early signing class in the country after claiming another five star recently. Meanwhile, several colleges got on the scoreboard with a few public commitments of their own.

Adding to what is becoming one of the deepest all-around recruiting classes of the year, five star Dakota Hodgson pledged his services to Auburn. Hodgson, who swims for Nashville Aquatics and is homeschooled, owns long course senior national cuts in the 100-meter fly (54.08) and 200-meter fly (2:00.47). He also clears the NCAA Division I B cut in the 200-yard fly (1:47.14).

Hodgson becomes another in a long list of top recruits committing to Auburn this year topped by six star Dagny Knutson. Five stars Emily Bos, Nimrod Hayet, Haley Krakoski, TJ Leon, Chris Manning, Evan Noble and Erin Reisinger have all pledged to Auburn.

Virginia earned a third five-star recruit for the Class of 2010 when Parker Camp committed. Camp, who swims for Nashville Aquatics and preps at Brentwood High, owns long course senior national cuts in the 200-meter free (1:53.32), 400-meter free (3:58.02), 100-meter back (57.25) and 200-meter back (2:03.25). He also holds an NCAA Division I B cut in the 100-yard back (48.93).

Camp joins fellow five stars Caroline Kenney and Emily Lloyd as well as four stars Jonathan Buerger and Hillary Petersen as future Cavaliers.

Five star Tyler Sell will call Florida State home after his senior season. Sell, who swims for the Comets and preps at West Broward, has long course senior national cuts in the 400-meter free (3:58.03) and 1500-meter free (15:36.40). Sell joins five stars Mateo De Angulo and Jonathan Taddeo, four star McKayla Lightbourn and three star John Deedrick.

Four star Taylor Sostarecz, who swims for Lehigh Valley Aquatics and preps at Easton High, is heading to Georgia Tech. Sostarecz owns NCAA B cuts in the 500-yard free (4:51.69) and 1650-yard free (16:25.62).

Two star Beth DeFauw of SwimStrongsville, will join four star Kelly Ann Baird at Ohio State University.

Two star Bryan Williams of GLA became the first public commit for Michigan State.
