Auburn Adds Commitment from Club Wolverine’s Nik Eberly

NEW COMMIT: Dexter, Michigan native Nik Eberly has committed to Auburn University and will join the Tigers this upcoming fall.

Eberly does his club swimming with Club Wolverine and most recently raced at Juniors East last month where he placed 12th in the 100 fly and 24th in the 50 free. The NISCA All-American recorded four lifetime bests and grabbed the bronze medal in the 50m fly at NCSAs this past summer. Also competing for Dexter High School, Eberly won the 100 fly and 200 free at the Michigan DII State Championships during his junior season after finishing second in both events as a sophomore.

He told Swimming World:

“I chose Auburn because of the unbelievable coaching staff, outgoing swim team, and amazing school Auburn is. War Eagle”

His best times include:

  • 50 free – 20.69
  • 100 free – 45.68
  • 200 free – 1:39.95
  • 100 fly – 48.41

When he arrives on campus as a member of the class of 2023, Eberly will join a sprint group led by Santiago Grassi and Thomas Heinzel. Auburn finished sixth overall in the team standings at the 2018 SEC Championships.
