NEW COMMIT: Castle Rock, Colo. native Jessie Beckwith has announced her verbal pledge to become a member of University of Arkansas’ class of 2023.

Beckwith trains and competes for University of Denver Hilltoppers and has met the Winter Juniors standard in the 100 fly. She most recently raced at Western Zone Senior Championships in August where she made four finals appearances and recorded a pair of personal bests. She also had a strong showing at Juniors West and Colorado Senior Championships during the short course season.

She told Swimming World:

I am so excited and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to swim and continue my academic career at the University of Arkansas! I couldn’t be happier to begin the next chapter of my life as a Razorback! Woo Pig!

Her best times include:

  • 100 fly – 55.15
  • 50 free – 24.15
  • 100 free – 51.78
  • 200 free – 1:51.93

Also representing Rock Canyon High School, Beckwith is a five-time Colorado 5A State Championship finalist. She finished seventh in the 100 fly as a junior and fourth in the same event as a sophomore. When she arrives in Fayetteville for the 2019-20 season, she’ll join a fly training group that includes Erin McGuirt and Sarah Dalton Chambliss.
