Arizona State Scores 2027 Verbal From Five-Time Michigan State Champ Adrienne Schadler

NEW COMMIT: Arizona State University has received a verbal commitment for its growing Class of 2031 from Adrienne Schadler of Ann Arbor, Mich. Schadler is a Junior National qualifier who excels in freestyle.

She will join Ava Eddy and Delaney Barbee in Tempe at the start of the 2027-28 season.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

A huge thank you to my family, Pat Wickering, Mojo Murrett, Paul Griffith, Johnny Young, and CW coaches for always supporting me and my goals. Thank you Coach Herbie and Coach Derek for this amazing opportunity! Go Sun Devils”

Schadler, who does her club swimming with Club Wolverine, won the 100 free and 200 free at Four Corner Speedo Sectionals in March where she set five new best times. Last summer, she finaled in four events at Ocala Futures, finishing as high as ninth in the 400m free.

Her best times include:

  • 100 free- 48.60
  • 200 free- 1:45.61
  • 500 free- 4:47.23
  • 1650 free- 16:54.86
  • 400 IM- 4:19.63

A rising senior at Skyline High School, Schadler won the 200 free and 500 free at the Michigan Division 2 State Championships in both 2024 and 2025. She took first and second, respectively, in those events at the state meet during her freshman season. She is a two-time NISCA All-American.

Schadler has seen major improvements in the past year. She dropped nearly two seconds in the 100 free, three seconds in the 200 free and six seconds in the 500 free.

Arizona State won its second straight Big 12 Championship in 2026.
