Angelina Patt Takes Home Double Gold at Swiss Championships
Angelina Patt clinched double gold on day two of the Swiss Championships in Uster.
The 20-year-old, who competed at the European Short-Course Championships in December last year, took the 50 back in 28.58.
She returned for the 200IM which she won in 2:17.92 to complete the medley double following victory in the longer race on the opening night. Gaia Rasmussen (2:19.51) and Nathalie Vogt (2:20.25) joined her on the podium.
Roman Mityukov, who matched his Swiss 100 back record on a relay leadoff on Thursday, won the men’s 50 back in 25.10 ahead of Thierry Bollin (25.15) and Leon Opatril (25.59).
Kay-Lyn Löhr clinched the breaststroke double with a 2:26.22 victory over 200m with Antoine Viquerat upgrading 100 silver to 200 gold in the men’s race in 2:14.01 with Gian-Luca Gartmann – who won over two lengths – second in 2:15.39.
Balint Ashton won the men’s 100 free in 49.17, 0.02 ahead of the fast-finishing Timo Sorgius (49.19) while Angelique Brugger took the women’s title in 56.53 after overhauling Seraphine Hoigné who clocked 56.79.
