STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 26. SWEDISH sprinter Therese Alshammar, world record-holder in the short course 50 and 100m freestyle, will return to Sweden to train and prepare herself for the 2004 Olympic Games, reports Swedish web site simma.nu.

In a joint effort between the Swedish Swim Federation and the Swedish Olympic Committe it has been arranged for Johan Wallberg, a 1996 and 2000 Swedish Olympian in the freestyle relays, to become "Tessan´s" personal coach in Stockholm starting this fall.

Alshammar began her career at the Neptun swim club in Stockholm but she trained in Australia and spent two years at the University of Nebraska before moving on to Hamburg, Germany. The last two years she has been stationed in the United Kingdom, where she trained with Mark Foster.

Hans Bergquist, the Swedish National team´s head coach, will serve as a special mentor to Alshammar and Wallberg.
