A Final Look at the Psych Sheets for the NCAA Women’s Championships

The NCAA Women’s Division I Championships are set to get underway on Wednesday in Atlanta, with the University of Virginia chasing a sixth consecutive team title. The Cavaliers can make history during the four-day competition, as no women’s program has ever won six straight championships, although Texas won five in a row from 1984-88 and Stanford claimed five consecutive crowns from 1992-96.

This year’s UVA squad does not feature one of the Walsh sisters, but plenty of firepower remains for coach Todd DeSorbo. Claire Curzan is the American-record holder in the 200-yard backstroke and Anna Moesch has emerged as a triple threat from the 50 freestyle through the 200 free. Meanwhile, Italian freshman Sara Curtis has made an immediate impact for the Cavs and is expected to score major points.

Texas’ Jillian Cox will defend her titles from 2025 in the 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle while Stanford’s Torri Huske will pace the Cardinal and is a top contender to win the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly. In the women’s 100 breaststroke, a European battle could decide the champion as Eneli Jefimova, Anita Bottazzo and Anastasia Gorbenko are the top seeds, with Jefimova and Bottazzo entered behind sub-57 performances.

Here is a look at the official psych sheets ahead of action starting at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
