2020 Pac-12 Women’s Championships Day 3 Finals: Louise Hansson Swims 49.94 100 Fly; Forde Swims Top 400 IM
The 2020 Pac-12 Women’s Championships continued on Friday with a full session from Federal Way, Washington.
Stanford leads the meet with 1,027 points, well ahead of the field. Cal is second with 866.5 and USC has 768 for third.
USC’s Louise Hansson swam a 49.94 in the 100 fly to win the title, while Stanford’s Brooke Forde turned in the top 400 IM time in the NCAA this season.
Cal’s Abbey Weitzeil declared false started the 200 free and did not compete in the session. Sources said she hyper-extended her arm on the finish of the 50 free earlier in the meet. The same thing happened to Weitzeil at the NCAA Championships last year.
Stanford’s Erin Voss has been named the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the Conference office announced today. The award, which is presented in each of the 24 sports the Pac-12 sponsors, was established to honor collegiate student-athletes that are standouts both academically and in their sports discipline.
Here is a look at the session:
