2017 New Year’s Resolutions From Swimming World College Interns
In 2014 Swimming World welcomed a class of college interns who provided new, fresh content to the site. At the turn of the calendar, those interns shared some of their New Year’s resolutions. The program has continued, and below are this year’s interns’ New Year’s resolutions!
Erin Himes
As I finish college and start a new chapter of life, my new years resolution is to live in the moment and enjoy what I have now.
Natalia Kaczor
My New Years resolution is to put 100% effort into every aspect of my life while focusing on what makes me happy.
Jacob Riley
My New Years Resolution is to do something each day that makes me smarter and stronger.
Jacob Tillotson
My New Years resolution is to focus on only things I can control, rather than wasting energy worrying about the things I can’t.
Caitlin Daday
My New Years resolution is to not stress myself out too much.
Lander Eicholzer
My resolution will be to get more sleep.
Katie Wingert
My resolution is to take more time daily to stretch.
Ailish Dougherty
My New Year’s resolution is to be less hard on myself this year!
Alec Scott
My resolution is to show more gratitude to the people in my life.
Maddie Strasen
My new year’s resolution is to focus on the small details that can make big differences.
Benny Liang
My resolution is to learn how to read the clock so my coaches don’t have to tell me when to leave on the interval.
Nicole Farina
My New Years resolution is to focus on myself. 2016 was a year that I was wrapped in many other things, and because of that, frequently neglected taking good care of myself. But in 2017, I hope to use the year for self-growth, to continue developing my strengths/working on my weaknesses, and better understand who I am as a person to help pave the way for my future.
Matthew Barnard
My New Years resolution for 2017 is to use a journal to record what worked and what needs improvement in my practices.
Chandler Brandes
Not lose sight of why I love the sport.
Bri Groves
six pack abs
Robbie Dickson
My New Years resolution is to clean up my diet.
Colin Hogan
I resolve to be more aware of how I act, especially under stress, and what those actions mean for others around me.
