Men’s 500 Free

After crushing the 200 free record last night, Queens’ Dion Dreesens clipped the men’s 500 DII record this morning. His time of 4:20.70 was just under the previous record of 4:20.98 set by his teammate Nick Arakelian last year at this meet. The two teammates will look to battle it out for the win tonight.

Arakelian took second in 4:23.31 and West Chester’s Victory Polyakov was third in 4:24.69.

Saint Leo’s Daniel Bis (4:25.14), Simon Fraser’s Adrian VanderHelm (4:25.51), Missouri S&T’s Jon Glaser (4:25.51), Simon Fraser’s Mackenzie Hamill (4:26.17), and Indy’s Vitor Botana (4:26.35) round out the top eight.
