2016 NCAA Division II Nationals: Day 3 Finals Live Recap

Fifteen records have been broken so far at the 2016 NCAA Division II National Championships in Indianapolis, and four of those were set tonight.

Queens’ Patricia Castro Ortega broke her third DII record of the weekend, this time in the women’s 500 free. Queens’ Dion Dreesens also broke his own record in the men’s 500 free he set earlier this morning.

Wingate’s Sofia Petrenko, who has already had a busy meet so far, set a new DII record in the women’s 200 fly. To conclude the evening session, Queens broke their own 800 free relay record.

Heading into the final day, the Queens women lead Wingate by 124 points. The Queens men are also still in the lead followed by Lindenwood and Florida Southern.
