Women’s 50 Breaststroke
World Champion Jennie Johansson of Sweden posted the world’s sixth fastest time to lead qualifying this morning. She turned in a 30.75. Hrafnhildu Luthersdottir of Iceland was the only other swimmer under the 31 second barrier. Her 30.94 makes her the second qualifier for tonight’s semifinal. Jenna Laukkanen of Finland will return third, after stopping the clock at 31.01.

Men’s 50 Freestyle
Great Britain’s Benjamin Proud led the qualifying this morning, stopping the clock in 22.15. Florent Manaudou of France was just behind with a 22.18. Andriy Govorov of Ukraine returns tonight as the third seed with a 22.23.

Women’s 200 Butterfly
Mireia Belmonte Garcia of Spain put together the quickest 200 fly of prelims, touching in 2:09.70. Liliana Szilagyi of Hungary was also under 2:10, touching in 2:09.89, for tonight’s second seed. Switzerland’s Martina Eva Van Berkel qualified third in 2:09.95.

Women’s 50 Freestyle
Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands led qualifying with a 24.80. Denmarks’ Jeanette Ottesen also dipped under 25 seconds, touching in 24.98. Anna Santamans of France returns to semis in third, after stopping the clock in 25.00 this morning.

Men’s 800 Freestyle Relay
Hungary won heat two to post the fastest time overall. Adam Telegdy, Gergo Kis, Peter Bernek, and Dominik Kozma combined for a 7:12.46. Great Britain’s Stephen Milne, Ieuan Lloyd, Dan Wallace, and Duncan Scott touched in 7:13.68 for second. France got to the wall first in a tight heat one battle to secure the third seed. Jeremy Stravius, Jordan Pothain, Yannick Agnel, and Lorys Bourelly finished in 7:13.83.
