Wildcats Add 3 Top-40 Recruits
The Kentucky Wildcats notched three of CollegeSwimming.com’s top 40 female recruits for the class of 2016.
Asia Seidt
Seidt is the 15th ranked recruit nationally and the third ranked swimmer from the state of Kentucky. She specializes in backstroke and butterfly.
Seidt’s top times include a 53.06 in the 100-yard backstroke and a 53.72 in the 100-yard butterfly. She also swims a strong 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 1:58.53.
Alex Gayler
A South Carolina native, Gayler is the 21st ranked recruit nationally and the second overall in her state. She will join her sister, Danielle, on the Wildcat team.
Gayler will be a strong swimmer for Kentucky in both the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle. In those events her best times are a 1:53.76 and 1:48.01, respectively.
Madison Winstead
The Wildcats gain another in-state recruit in Winstead. Ranked fourth in her state, Winstead is 39th nationally.
Winstead will make an immediate impact on the Kentucky breaststroke group. She has top times of 1:01.65 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:13.19 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
