Kyle Chalmers Joins The Adidas Team
Adidas recently announced a multi-year partnership with seventeen year old old Kyle Chalmers from Australia.
The Aussie All-Star from Adelaide owns several national age group records, but his most recent accomplishments were from the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships in Singapore. While there Chalmers blasted his way to the top of the podium in the sprint freestyle events, earning gold in the 50 free, 100 free, and 4×100 free relay, as well as earning himself a spot in the Top 20 World Rankings for 2015 for the 100 free.
In a news release from Adidas, Jim Latham, Adidas Senior Director Sports Marketing, noted that,
“We are very pleased to have Kyle join the adidas Swim family. His love of the sport and outstanding performances at the World Junior Championships in August highlight his commitment and talent. We look forward to accompanying him throughout his career, in and out of the pool”.
Chalmers, who signed his contract today in Herzogenaurach, Germany, added
“I am very excited to join the Adidas family, I have always been a big fan of the brand and I look forward to a longstanding partnership”
Chalmer will be joining a group of top Adidas athletes that include Cesar Cielo, Allison Schmitt, Michael Andrew and more as he looks to continue his success in the pool and make his way towards Rio.
