YOTA’s Regan Lawrence Verbally Commits to University of Arkansas at Little Rock

Regan Lawrence from Cary, North Carolina has verbally committed to swim for the University of Arkansas in Little Rock for the 2017-2018 school year. Lawrence is a senior at Green Hope High School who primarily swims sprint butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle with YOTA (YMCA of the Triangle Area).

Many of Lawrence’s lifetime bests came from her sophomore and junior year. In her sophomore year she dropped a total of three seconds in the 100 free, one second in the 50 free, and two seconds in the 100 back. During her junior year, she dropped a total of six seconds in the 100 fly.

Her best SCY times include:
• 100 back – 59.96
• 100 free – 53.68
• 50 free – 24.54
• 100 fly – 59.50

Lawrence shared,

“From the moment I got to Little Rock, it felt like home. I had an immediate connection with the coaches and swimmers. I can’t wait to join the Trojan family and swim under coach Amy and coach Calvin next year. Go Trojans!”
