NEW COMMIT: Wingate University has kept Futures qualifier Jack Wisniewski of Goldsboro, N.C. in-state for his college career after receiving his verbal commitment. He will arrive on campus in the fall of 2021.

He told Swimming World:

“”I am blessed to announce that I will be continuing my swimming and education at Wingate University. Wingate is one of the top NCAA Division 2 teams in the country and I feel that I can contribute to the goals of competing for conference and national championships. Wingate has a strong academic program and is a wonderful location for me. Can’t wait to be a part of the amazing bulldog family!” ?”

A talented butterflyer and IMer, Wisniewski does his club swimming with the Goldsboro Family YMCA and last competed at North Carolina Seniors in February where he finished seventh in the 400 IM. He is also a five-time NCHEAC state champion and owns the state record holder in the 100 fly.

His best times include:

  • 100 fly – 51.50
  • 200 fly – 1:53.41
  • 200 IM – 1:55.95
  • 400 IM – 4:07.91

In Summer 2019, Wisniewski earned two best times at North Carolina LCM Seniors before going on to place 12th in the 400m IM and 15th in the 200m fly at YMCA LCM Nationals. For his efforts, he has earned YMCA All-American honors.

Wisniewski will make an immediate when he suits up for the Bulldogs as a member of the Class of 2025. He would’ve scored in the B-final of the 100 fly, 200 fly, and 400 IM at the 2020 Bluegrass Mountain / Carolinas Conference Championships where Wingate finished fourth overall in the team standings.
