World, Regional Swimmers of the Year Announced in December Issue of Swimming World Magazine

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 16. NEXT month is the culmination of our 50+ anniversary, and we celebrate it with the most fun article of the year as Swimming World Magazine announces the World and Regional Swimmer of the Year awards.

On top of announcing the various swimmers of the year, we also honor top athletes in water polo, diving and synchronized swimming. Meanwhile, Jeff Commings completes his 50+ anniversary celebration look back along with the Then and Now series that ran this entire year.

Additionally, senior writer John Lohn presents his annual list of top performances from the past year. We also provide the world and American record progressions for the year. The December list will include long course meter and short course yard records. We pushed back the short course meter progressions into the January issue to make sure this year's World Cups were included.
