World Aquatics Releases Masters Top-Performer Lists; All-Time and 2025 Rankings Posted
While several months remain in the 2026 season, thus providing athletes with the chance to shake up the rankings, World Aquatics has released its lists of top Masters performers for the 2025 campaign. Additionally, the organizing body has released its updated lists of all-time Masters performers, ranging from the 25-29 age group to 100-plus age groups.
According to a press release from World Aquatics, more than 300 Masters world records (individual and relay) were established during the 2025 season. That record total included performances posted in the long-course pool and in the short-course pool.
In conjunction with World Aquatics, TYR has produced special-edition swim caps that can be purchased by Masters athletes from the United States or Canada who have either set a world record or earned a top-10 ranking in their age group. For swimmers outside of the U.S. and Canada, they can contact their federation, which can obtain a cap on their behalf.
The next edition of the World Masters Championships will be held in 2027 in Budapest, which is also the site of the next World Champs.
