Will Licon won a nail-biter in the men’s 200 breast at the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series in Des Moines, touching out Georgia’s Nic Fink by .03 to grab the win. The Longhorn swimmer got to the wall first in 2:09.90, just ahead of Fink who was second in 2:09.93.

Licon was out fast in 1:02.37, with Fink trying to reel him in over the final 100 but just running out of room. In third was James Wilby (2:10.78). Notably Andrew Wilson, the former training partner for Licon who is now training with Fink at Georgia, was out with Licon at the 100 (1:02.45) before falling back to fourth in 2:11.70.
