Western Kentucky vs. Xavier

CINCINNATI, Ohio, November 6. THE Xavier swim team fell to the visiting Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky Friday afternoon at the O'Connor Center. The XU women fell 119-80 and the Musketeer men suffered a 110-89 loss.

The XU men's 200 yard medley relay team of David Maxwell, Michael Zennedjian, Sam Conchuratt, and Terence Mahon finished second with a time of 1:33.91. David Gordon took first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:55.49.

Nathan Green continued his streak of solid swimming with a first place finish in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle.

In women's action, freshman Courtney Cox had a solid performance with second place finishes in the 500 and 1,000 freestyle. Mary Podlaski earned first place in the 100 yard breaststroke and the Musketeers took tops in the 200 freestyle relay.

Senior Kari Peglar took first place in the 200 individual medley with a time 2:12.06.

The Muskteers will hit the pool again on November 12 as they face IUPUI in the House of Champions meet. First dive is set for 5 p.m.
