Waterloo vs. Niagara

NIAGARA, New York, November 3. THE Niagara University Men's and Women's swimming and diving programs defeated the University of Waterloo at the Oxy Aquatic Center, 146-115 and 149-102, respectively.

Leadership from men's side continued to come from senior Pat Garvey (Pine Bush, N.Y.), as he was victorious in three separate events, the 200 free, the 50 free and the 100 free. Also posting a strong performance for the Purple Eagles was sophomore Dane Deehr (Woodinville, Wash.), finishing the day as a double winner in the 500 free and the 1,000 free.

The women's team had a slue of double winners that aided them to victory including junior Hope Wiles (Baltimore, Md.), senior Mariah Glass (Oswego, N.Y.) and freshman Elizabeth Piggott (Staatsburg, N.Y.). Wiles continued her success in long distance events placing first in the 1,000 free and the 500 free.

The women's team returns to action next Friday at home where they will do battle with the Youngstown St. Penguins.
