WADA Announces Changes to Management Team

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to announce changes to its Management Team

Effective 1 October 2018, Catherine MacLean previously Director, Communications, was appointed Director, Education and Communications. With this additional mandate, Catherine oversees development and implementation of new programs and fosters increased interest in existing education programs worldwide.

Catherine joined WADA in 2014 following 25 years with global leaders in metals and mining, Alcan and Rio Tinto; and then, as an independent consultant for the same industry.  

Catherine continues to be located at WADA’s head office in Montreal.

Effective 1 January 2019, Tom May formerly Deputy Director, National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) / Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADO) Relations, joins WADA’s Management Team as Director, Program Development and NADO/RADO Relations. In this role, Tom will work closely with NADOs and RADOs to enhance anti-doping capacity worldwide through a strengthened program development strategy that is consistent with WADA’s overall strategic direction and priorities.

Tom joined WADA in 2004 as Manager, Doping Control Policy and Development. In 2010, he was appointed Senior Manager, Program Development; and, in 2014, was appointed Deputy Director, NADO/RADO Relations. Overall, Tom brings more than 20 years of anti-doping experience to this new position.

Tom continues to be located at WADA’s head office in Montreal.
