BARCELONA, Spain, July 31. LAST night in the Palau Sant Jordi, the site of the FINA world swimming championships, the press conference room was packed with journalists waiting to hear from some of Tuesday night’s medal winners.
After a lengthy warm down, all three medalists from the women’s 1500 freestyle — gold medalist Katie Ledecky, silver medalist Lotte Friis and bronze medalist Lauren Boyle — talked about their strategies and post-race thoughts on being a part of history.
