After being out-touced by Marwan El Kamash last night in the men’s 200 free, Zane Grothe got to the wall first in the 800 free on day two of the TYR Pro Swim Series in Mesa. Grothe won in 7:55.53, just ahead of El Kamash (7:55.75).

The American record holder talked about having one of his best weeks of training leading up to this meet and shared his goals for this upcoming summer. He also discussed what events he’s focusing on, saying he’s buckling down into longer distance training.
