IRVINE, California, August 6. WITH the Australian women posting a world record in the 400 free relay a couple of weeks ago, Missy Franklin knows the Americans will have to step up at the Pan Pacific championships in two weeks.

In this video interview, she talked about racing Simone Manuel in the 100 free final and coming close to her lifetime best. She also discussed Australia’s relay and how it pumped her up to swim fast in Irvine.
