(Video Interview) Michael Chadwick Makes His Breakthrough

Michael Chadwick missed out on the semi-finals of the men’s 100 free at Olympic Trials by one spot, missing his chance to go after an Olympic spot. This year at World Championship Trials, he barely snuck into the 100 free final — and at night, he secured his spot in Budapest, finishing fifth.

One day later, Chadwick explained why making the Worlds team was such a big deal for him and his reaction when he realized he had pulled it off. He also discussed the nerves of barely making it into the final, qualifying eight, and what Nathan Adrian said to him after he qualified.
