(Video Interview) Mallory Comerford Mixing Things Up With 100 Fly

mallory-comerford-interview-winter-nationals

It was no surprise to see Mallory Comerford dominating the 200 free at Winter Nationals, but she also finished second behind Louisville teammate Kelsi Worrell in the 100 fly. Comerford, who narrowly missed making the World Championships team in the 100 fly, explained where fly factors into her swimming.

She explained that since the 100 fly and 200 free are back-to-back on the schedule at the NCAA championships, she could not swim both, and she gave a pretty clear answer about her choice between the two events. Comerford also assessed her skills in breaststroke and backstroke and discussed the progress of the massive Louisville squad competing at Winter Nationals.

Good interview. She’s a doll. Smart and fun. I expect her to continue to surprise. Who knows, maybe she CAN fly!
