Kevin Cordes won a close men’s 100 breast battle at the 2017 Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara. The 2016 Rio Olympian finished in 1:00.61, less than one tenth ahead of runner-up Nic Fink‘s 1:00.70.
Cordes talked Swimming World about his preparation for World Championship Trials later this month and explained why he is ready to take on tough competition, including Cody Miller, Josh Prenot and Kevin Cordes. He talked about learning to roll with the punches, particularly after his rental car was broken into a day earlier.
