Following her swim in the prelims of the 100 back at U.S. Nationals, Felicia Lee took a few minutes to talk to Swimming World’s David Rieder. Lee did not advance to either the championship or consolation final in the 100 back, but she did finish second behind Kelsi Worrell in the 100 fly with a time of 58.54.

Lee spoke about that race, in which she touched eighth at the 50-meter turn before making a strong push to the finish, and she discussed her thoughts on the developments in the 100 fly domestically and internationally this year. Lee also shared her thoughts on the performances of her Stanford teammates currently competing at the World Championships in Kazan.
