MESA, Arizona, April 11. GRAND Canyon University's Eetu Karvonen raced to a World Championships automatic standard in the 50 breaststroke. His 27.88 time means he's heading to Barcelona this summer for Finland.
Karyonen won both breaststroke events at the NCAA DII Championships, and admits that it was hard to get back into training after the championship meet. He's also aiming for the 100 breaststroke World Championship cut this weekend.
