Video Interview Conor Dwyer Wants Medal at World Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 27. CONOR Dwyer talks about his 200 freestyle at the 2013 USA Swimming nationals, and what led to his decision to move to Baltimore for training with Yannick Agnel. Dwyer has got high expectations for the World Championships this summer, and feels that he can excel in the 200 freestyle in Barcelona.

Men’s 200 free recap: Olympic star Ryan Lochte broke through for the 200-meter freestyle national title this evening at the IU Nat. Lochte threw down a winning time of 1:45.97 after taking the swim out hard. That time pushed him to fifth in the world rankings.

Lochte’s former training partner Conor Dwyer, who is now training at North Baltimore, raced his way to second in the event with a time of 1:46.25. That swim pushed him to seventh in the world rankings, and bettered his lifetime best of 1:46.64 from the 2012 Olympic Trials.
