MESA, Arizona, April 12. ALTHOUGH Anthony Ervin never asked for autographs when he was a young swimmer, he took time out after his 50 freestyle at the Mesa Arena Grand Prix to sign a few for the young fans in attendance. Ervin then talked to Swimming World TV's Jeff Commings about his own experiences as a young swimmer.
50 freestyle recap: Adrian blitzed star-studded finale with a 21.72 for the win. Adrian's teammate Anthony Ervin ripped off a 22.31 to take second overall as Cal's post-grad sprint group proved to be special this evening with plenty of top times from Adrian, Coughlin and Ervin.
