California freshman Andrew Seliskar picked up the second seed for the final of the 400 IM on Friday morning at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Ga., just one day after he swam in lane six of the 200 IM, where he finished a disappointing seventh in the final. Seliskar spoke with Swimming World’s David Rieder to discuss how his mentality for NCAAs has been different from any other meet and how he feels about his races thus far. He also explains how Ryan Murphy’s American record on Thursday helped catalyze his Golden Bears.
