(Video Interview) Ryan Murphy and Cal Team “Something Special”

Ryan Murphy dominated the men’s 100 back at the Georgia Fall Invitational. The World record holder touched the wall in 44.61, taking the race out in a 21.52.

He also took third in the 200 IM (1:42.53) last night and is the top seed for the 200 back tomorrow. The Cal Golden Bear is coming off an incredible summer after sweeping both backstroke events in Rio and leading off the winning 400 medley relay in World record fashion.

He also discussed his motivation levels during practice, being a senior at Cal, and the energy his team has.
