SEATTLE, Washington, February 11. THIS weekend at the KING Valentine Classic, Ethan Dang took down the 10-and-under U.S. National Age Group record in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Swimming at his club's own event, Dang rocketed through the swim with a time of 1:07.25. His effort broke the previous standard of 1:08.53 set by Michael Andrew in 2010. When full splits are available, Swimming World will bring them to you.
This isn't Dang's first national age group record, as he previously took ownership of the 100-meter breaststroke record in July 2012. At the PNS Long Course Championships last July, Dang clocked a time of 1:18.71 in the long course version of the event, clipping Matthew Limbacher's 2011 record of 1:18.80.
