CLEARWATER, Florida, May 10. At the Clearwater World Championship Trials Qualifier/Age Group Invitational tonight, Georgia Coastal Aquatics' Grace Van Brunt took down the 10-and-under U.S. National Age Group record in the 50-meter back.
Van Brunt raced to a 32.85 in the finale as the 10-year-old trumped the previous record of 32.87 set by newly-minted high school national independent school record setter Ella Eastin back in 2008.
Nashville's Kallie Chelsvig (34.51) and The Woodlands' Kaitlyn Montgomery (35.95) placed second and third in the event.
