Veronica Burchill Joins Tennessee Aquatics Post-Grad Training Group

Veronica Burchill is making a move in her training after helping the Cali Condors win the Internation

The former Georgia swimmer announced she will be training in Tennessee with the post-grad team at Tennessee Aquatics.

“I am very excited to announce that I will now be training with @tennessee_elite9 !! ??‍♀️ I’m incredibly grateful for my time at UGA & I will miss my people there more than I can say, but I am so thrilled for this new journey and opportunity in Knoxville!” Burchill posted on Instagram.

She will train with Matt Kredich and the Tennessee pro group ahead of the 2021 Olympic Trials. Ali DeLoof joined the group earlier this year that also includes swimmers like Molly Hannis and Maddy Banic.

Veronica Burchill, who swam her high school and early club days in Carmel, Indiana, graduated from Georgia earlier this year.

She was a 17-time All-American at Georgia. Here is the Bulldogs breakdown of her career:

2019-20: Earned six CSCAA All-America citations (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay)…Qualified for NCAA Championships in 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle…Ranked second nationally in 200 freestyle and seventh in 100 freestyle…Named to All-SEC First Team…Won SEC Championship in 200 freestyle with personal-best A-cut…Earned silver medal in 400 freestyle relay at SECs…Finished fifth in 100 freestyle and won B final in 50 freestyle at SECs with personal-best time…Also swam anchor legs of fifth-place 400 medley and sixth-place 200 medley relays…Posted B-cut in 100 butterfly…Anchored A-cut team in 400 medley relay at Tennessee Invitational…Placed second in 100 and 200 freestyle, sixth in 100 butterfly and seventh in 50 freestyle at Tennessee Invitational…Earned wins in the 100 freestyle against Alabama, North Carolina, Florida and Texas A&M…Also placed first in 50 freestyle against A&M…Named to CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team…Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll…Named to J. 2016-17: Came in 13th in the 100 butterfly at the NCAA Championships…Finished second on the 400 freestyle relay, third on the 200 freestyle relay and seventh on the 800 freestyle relay at the NCAAs…Finished third in the 100 freestyle, 11th in the 100 butterfly and 12th in the 50 freestyle at the SEC Championships…Came in first on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays and third on the 800 freestyle relay at the SECs…Named First-Team All-SEC and to the All-Freshman Team…Named the SEC Women’s Freshman of the Week after the UGA Fall Invitational…Named the recipient of the Lisa Coole Memorial Scholarship.

High School: Graduated from Carmel High School where she swam under Coach Chris Plumb…Swam for Carmel Swim Club under coaches Ian Murray and Chris Plumb…Helped Carmel High School win three national high school titles…Was a 15-time high school state champion.

National: Earned gold medals as member of 400 freestyle and 400 medley relay teams at 2019 World University Games…Helped the United States 400 freestyle relay place third in the 2018 World University Games…Was a USA National Junior Team member 2015 and 2016.
