USA Synchro Junior National Championships to Make Debut in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas, November 19. MORE than 300 elite synchronized swimmers will gather at the University of Texas at Austin, Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, March 25 – 27 for the 2010 Junior National Synchronized Swimming Championships. The meet will feature athletes ages 15-18, who will vie for Junior National Titles in the solo, duet and team events. The competition marks the first U.S. Synchronized Swimming National Championship held in Austin and will be hosted by the Austin Angelfish and the University of Texas at Austin, Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

Top routines will advance to the 2010 U.S. National Championships which will take place April 15 – 17, in Huntersville, N.C.

Tickets for Saturday's finals competition will be $10 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 6-12) and senior citizens. Admission on Thursday and Friday is free of charge.

Following competition on Saturday, March 27, the Austin Angelfish will host a "Give Synchro a Try" clinic. Admission to the clinic will be included in the price of a youth ticket purchased for finals.
