USA Swimming Sectionals, Jenks: Heather Lundstrom, Nickolaus Orf Post Olympic Trials Cut on Final Night

JENKS, Oklahoma, March 4. THE last night of action at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Jenks, Okla., featured two more Olympic Trials cuts going in the books.

Parkway's Heather Lundstrom clocked a 2:15.27 to win the women's 200 fly, and better the Olympic Trials cut. KC Blazers Rilye Fries (2:20.76) and Mariah Hutchinson (2:22.25) took second and third. Parkway's Nickolaus Orf followed in the men's 200 fly with a 2:03.37 for an Olympic Trials cut of his own. Lindenwood's Javier Hernandez took second in 2:04.62, while Parkway's Luke Schlueter placed third in 2:06.21.

Razorback's Jennifer Holtzen won the women's 1500 free in 17:24.92. Lincoln Select's Blake Balogh finished second in 17:35.30, while KC Blazer Sara Lopez took third in 17:42:32. KC Blazer James Foster captured the men's 1500 free in 16:16.49. SwimTulsa's Eastman Holloway touched second in 16:26.70, while KC Blazer Louis Behnen picked up third in 16:27.54.

Topeka's Sammie Schurig posted a 2:19.51 to win the women's 200 back. Gator's Gabrielle Vieira took second in 2:21.86, while KC Blazer Katarina Sickle earned third in 2:23.54. Oklahoma Baptist's Nick Carter took the men's 200 back title in 2:06.23 while Lincoln Select's Brennan Balogh posted a second-place 2:07.88. Parkway's Brandon Weissman finished third in 2:10.58.

Rockwood's Lauren Votava won the women's 100 free in 57.31, while Topeka's Haley Molden took second in 57.55. Rockwood's Jordan Stout finished third in 58.17. Greater Omaha's Ryan Miksch touched out Rec Plex's Andrew Sansoucie, 51.72 to 51.76, for the men's 100 free title. Julio Galofre took third in 51.96.
