USA Swimming Sectionals, Indianapolis: Mike Alexandrov Wins Two on Final Night

INDIANPOLIS, Indiana, March 31. THE early season of the USA Swimming Sectional schedule came to a close with Mike Alexandrov winning a pair at the IU Natatorium at IUPUI. The rest of the sectional schedule will pick back up in July.

Women's Meet
Ashlee Edgell of the Irish touched out Jillian Altenburger of Berkeley Aquatics, 2:20.02 to 2:20.17, as both dipped under the Olympic Trials cut in the 200 IM.

Lauren Ross, 16, of Berkeley Aquatics grabbed a close victory over Darcy Heuser, 17, of Washington Township, 17:26.11 to 17:26.65, in the 1500 free, while Emily Bos, 16, of West Michigan Swim won the 100 free in 57.29.

Men's Meet
Mike Alexandrov of Wildcat Aquatics doubled on the day with a Trials cut in the 200 IM (2:03.24) and a touch-out triumph over Jeff Daniels of Clovis Swim Club, 51.67 to 51.78, in the 100 free.

Colby Ward won the other available men's title on the final day of swimming with an 8:25.12 in the 800 free.
