USA Swimming Sectionals, College Park: North Baltimore Sets U.S. 13-14 National Age Group Relay Record

COLLEGE PARK, Maryland, March 15. DURING the third night of swimming at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in College Park, North Baltimore Aquatic Club added another U.S. National Age Group record to its coffers.

Women's Meet
The NBAC foursome of Elizabeth Pelton (29.44), Jordan Surhoff (34.71), Camryne Morris (29.76) and Natalie Beale (26.61) knocked a second off the U.S. National Age Group record for the 13-14 division in the 200 medley relay. The quartet stopped the clock in 2:00.52, well clear of the 2:01.86 set by Aquastar in 2006.

Hilary Roberts of Asphalt Green surfaced from a dogfight in the 200 fly with a winning time of 2:17.52. Kaitlin Pawlowicz of Curl-Burke and Andi Staub of NBAC took second and third in 2:17.63 and 2:17.87.

Emily Lloyd of Spy Swimming and Lauren Perdue of Greenville gave the fans a dead heat as they registered matching 26.47s in the 50 free, a touch ahead of Ashley Danner's 26.69 representing Sea Devil.

Danner, countered in the next event, with a victorious time of 2:35.16 in the 200 breast, before Kirsten Smith of the Marlins of Raleigh won the 100 back in 1:04.28.

Kate Ziegler of The Fish closed out the individual events for the women with a triumph in the 400 free when she clocked a 4:04.86.

Men's Meet
Christopher Pool finished first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.82, while Brian Kelly of Brown University took the 50 free title away from teammate Daniel Ricketts, 23.56 to 23.78.

Ryan Hurley cruised in the 200 breast to a win with a time of 2:16.55, while Ricketts rebounded in the 100 back for a win in 58.89, just ahead of Pat Mellors' 58.95.

Tom Koucheravy completed the 400 free with the title when he turned in a first-place time of 3:57.97.
