USA Swimming Now Selling Tickets For Pan Pacific Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, April 24. TICKETS for the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships are now on sale.

You can purchase the tickets online at www.usaswimming.org/PanPacs.
The Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships, hosted by USA Swimming, will be held in Irvine, Calif., from August 18-22. The pool meet runs from August 18-21 and the 10k Open Water race will take place on August 22.

The event is expected to include Olympians as well as top swimmers from Japan, Australia, Canada, the USA, and more than 20 other countries. The U.S. Team for the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships will be selected from performances at the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships which will also take place in Irvine, Calif., August 3-7.

The Pan Pacific Swimming Championships are held under the oversight of the Pan Pacific Swimming Association. The Association was established in the mid 1980s and is made up of the four founding swimming federations – Swimming Australia, Swimming Canada, the Japan Amateur Swimming Federations and USA Swimming. These charter nations developed the concept of the swimming competition to provide their national teams with first class international competition between the two major international swimming competitions – the Olympic Games and the FINA World Championships.
