USA Swimming Names Guillermo Rojas Director of Marketing & Business Development

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, July 16. USA Swimming today announced the hiring of Guillermo Rojas as Director of Marketing & Business Development. Rojas joins USA Swimming from the U.S. Olympic Committee, where he most recently served as Associate Director of Business Development & Events.

In his new position, Rojas will form strategies for club marketing and recruiting, sponsor activation, Make a Splash marketing and diversity marketing, and will work to integrate these programs into USA Swimming's existing marketing channels. Additionally, Rojas will work to increase sponsor involvement at the local level, generating revenue for clubs and USA Swimming and advising on sponsor sales strategies.

Rojas joins USA Swimming from the USOC where he has worked since 2004, most recently as the Associate Director of Business Development & Events. While there, he worked extensively with USA Swimming and multiple other National Governing Bodies on the Olympic Team Trials.

In his 15+-year career in sports marketing, Rojas has worked in multiple areas, including sponsor sales, sponsor service, events, NGB business development support, best practice development, merchandising, online marketing and more. Prior to joining the USOC, he worked as the Marketing Manager for New York Road Runners. He is a graduate of New York University and recently completed the Olympic Sport Leadership program through the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
