USA Swimming Board of Directors Elect Kathy Fish, Kenneth Chung as Officers

At its December board meeting, the USA Swimming Board of Directors elected Kathy Fish to the position of Vice Chair while re-electing Kenneth Chung as Vice Chair Fiscal Oversight, both for two-year terms.

“I want to thank Kathy and Kenneth for stepping into these new roles and using their leadership experiences and passion for our sport to help guide us throughout the next few years,” USA Swimming Board of Directors Chair Chris Brearton said. “We have an incredible group of people donating their time and energy to grow our sport from learning to swim and being safe in the water to stepping onto the Olympic podium.”

A USA Swimming board member since September 2020, Vice Chair Fish has spent more than 50 years in the swimming community, including 15 as a swimmer (Michiana Marlins, Michigan State University), 10 as an age-group coach, 20 as a parent, four as a board president (Cincinnati Marlins), as well as Chair for A Matter of 50 Meters (Mason Manta Ray facility fundraising). She recently retired from her role as Chief Research, Development and Innovation Officer at P&G, where she led P&G’s innovation program, the organization of 7,000 talented innovators around the world and a $2 billion budget.

Vice Chair of Fiscal Oversight Chung is an active USA Swimming member, most recently officiating at the Toyota U.S. Open in Greensboro, N.C. In addition to his role as a meet referee in New England and North Texas, Chung also serves on USA Swimming’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council and as the North Texas Local Swimming Committees DEI Chair. He was formerly the Executive Vice President of Commercial Insurance at Chubb Group, where he spent over 38 years in various underwriting, risk management and leadership roles while successfully managing sizable portfolios with responsibility for profit & loss.
