USA Diving World Championships Selection Camp Underway

COLUMBUS, Ohio, February 10. THE first two days of diving have come to a conclusion at the USA Diving World Championships Selection Camp. Contrary to the "do-or-die" USA Swimming Trials, diving takes a more holistic approach to selection as various factors are considered outside of the camp. The camp does, however, have an impact in team selection.

During the first day of diving, Brittany Viola won the women's one-meter with 285.40 points in a tight contest with Olympian Christina Loukas (283.75) and Amanda Miller (282.80). Meanwhile, Jevon Tarantino topped the final list of the men's three-meter with 468.00 points. Christopher Colwill placed second with 466.20 points, while Hugh Showe III took third with 446.85 points.

The second day of diving had Allison Brennan coming out on top of the final list of dives in the women's three-meter with a 340.50-point tally. Summer Allman finished second with 332.40 points, while Loukas took third with 330.80 points. For the men's one-meter, Colwill cruised with a final list winning tally of 444.95 points. Kristian Ipsen took second with 410.50 points, while Terry Horner claimed third with 406.25 points.
