In the World Swimming section, along with the Trials preview, Aaron Peirsol demonstrates the Technique Tip. Meanwhile, Mr. Swimming Hall of Fame Buck Dawson is remembered in a tribute written by Bob Duenkel and Colleen Wilson. Lohn returns with an article recapping the World Short Course Championships, while the NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA and NJCAA meets are recounted. Marsteller also concludes the six-month Olympic regional preview series with a look at North America.

In SWIM, Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen writes about a way to improve your freestyle stroke, while Michael Mann provides this months Workout Card. Melissa Paton and Kathleen Woolf of Arizona State University focus on Eating Right on the Road as part of Health Waves.

In Swimming Technique, Michael J. Stott chats with Sean Farrell of Cheshire YMCA, while also looking into how Travis McNamara trains. Stott also speaks with Tom Jager and Dean Hutchinson about how they prepared for the 50 free.

In Junior Swimmer, Lake Oswego's 13-14 girls 200-yard medley relay is featured as a National Age Group Record Setter.
