U.S. International Team Trials: Day 2 Prelims Heat Sheets

The U.S. International Team Trials continue with the Day 2 prelims from the Greensboro Aquatic Center. With spots at the World Championships on the line, the event lineup for the Day 2 prelims consists of the women’s 200 freestyle, men’s 200 freestyle, women’s 200 breaststroke, men’s 200 breaststroke, women’s 200 backstroke, men’s 200 backstroke, women’s 50 butterfly and men’s 50 butterfly.

Day 2 Prelims Heat Sheets

In the women’s 200 freestyle, Katie Ledecky will be in the middle of the pool along with Hali Flickinger, Erin Gemmell and Gabby DeLoof. Leah Smith, Paige Madden and Tori Huske lead the second-to-last heat, setting up what could be an intriguing final.

In the men’s 200 freestyle, Kieran Smith, Patrick Callan and Luca Urlando are in the seventh and final heat, while Caeleb Dressel, Drew Kibler and Ryan Held are in the previous heat.

In the women’s 200 breaststroke, Lilly King and Ella Nelson are in the final heat, while Annie Lazor and Lydia Jacoby are in the fourth of five heats.

The men’s 200 breaststroke had just four heats at the International Team Trials, led by Nic Fink and Jake Foster.

In the women’s 200 backstroke, the final heat will see Rhyan White, Olivia Smoliga and Isabelle Stadden, while Phoebe Bacon and Claire Curzan are in the fourth heat of vie. Regan Smith is in the third heat.

The men’s 200 backstroke is led by Cal’s past and present, Ryan Murphy and Destin Lasco.

The women’s 50 butterfly will be interesting with Huske, Kelsi Dahlia and Olivia Bray in the final heat and Gretchen Walsh, Curzan, Kate Douglass and Beata Nelson in earlier heats.

The men’s 50 butterfly is led by Dressel, who is in Lane 4 in the final heat, flanked by Camden Murphy and Coleman Stewart. Michael Andrew, Zach Harting, Tom Shields and Maxime Rooney are also in earlier heats.
