TYR Sport Re-Signs Jacob Pebley, Olympian and 4X World Championship Medalist

Jacob Pebley Resigns TYR Sport

TYR Sport is proud to announce the re-signing of Olympian and 4x World Championship medalist Jacob Pebley to its roster of sponsored athletes.

Hailing from Corvallis, Oregon, Jacob has garnered a number of impressive results throughout his career. After winning the national title in the 200m backstroke at the 2015 Phillips 66 National Championships, Jacob picked up gold in the 200m back and silver in the 400m medley relay at the World University Games. In 2016, Jacob punched his ticket to Rio de Janeiro for the Summer Olympic Games where he finished fifth in the 200m backstroke.

Most recently, Jacob swam his way to the podium at the 2018 USA Swimming Winter National Championships where he earned first place finishes in the men’s 200m freestyle and 200m backstroke, as well as second in the men’s 100m back. In 2019, Pebley is set to compete at multiple stops of the TYR Pro Swim Series in the all new TYR VenzoTM. Working alongside the TYR design team and fellow Team TYR athletes, Jacob played an integral role in helping to create the highly anticipated technical suit.

“Jacob has the ability to accomplish major success,” began TYR Sport Chief Executive Officer Matt DiLorenzo. “As a brand, we’re proud to continue supporting him on that journey.”

“I’m excited to be re-signing with TYR as I work towards Tokyo,” said Pebley. “TYR has been a family to me since I first came on board in 2016 and has seen me through many exciting accomplishments. Being a part of the Venzo design process was a meaningful experience, and I look forward to racing in it as I continue toward my Olympic dream.”
