TYR Signs Another Impact Player With Jimmy Feigen Inked To Contract

AUSTIN, Texas, October 4. TYR made its first big swimming contract signing today since bringing IX3 Sports’ Chloe Sutton on board during the summer as Longhorn sprinter Jimmy Feigen has now signed his first professional contract.

Feigen announced the signing via Facebook tonight in his patented fun-filled manner.

“Just joined the TYR team! My first professional contract woohoo can’t wait to represent their brand with pride!”

Feigen definitely made some huge strides this summer, leaping into the conversation as one of the fastest sprinters in the United States and the world. Heading into this summer, California’s Nathan Adrian had been the odds-on favorite in terms of American sprinter.

Feigen changed that notion in Barcelona, injecting himself into the conversation with a silver in the 100-meter free (48.24) and fourth in the 50-meter free (21.88). He finished just 0.11 seconds behind the 100 free winner James Magnussen, and beat Adrian to the wall by .02 seconds. Feigen also earned a silver as part of the 400 freestyle relay for Team USA.

In 2012, Feigen became an Olympic silver medalist as part of the 400 free relay preliminary team put together by Team USA.

Feigen had an epic run as a collegiate swimmer for the University of Texas, winning 17 All-American honors as well as NCAA titles in the 50 free, 100 free and 400 free relay events during his senior season.
