USA Swimming today confirmed that the final leg of the 2020-2021 TYR Pro Swim Series schedule will be in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 12-15. The long course meet will take place at the IU Natatorium and will feature 200-300 athletes.

This competition marks the fourth TYR Pro Swim Series meet of 2021 and is the final long-course-meter competition on USA Swimming’s national event calendar before the upcoming U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming in Omaha this June.

Indianapolis has hosted the Pro Swim Series five times dating back to 2011, with the most recent competition happening in 2019. The IU Natatorium has also been the host of major events such as the 1996 and 2000 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, 2013 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships and 2017 World Junior Championships. The venue also traditionally hosts the Councilman Classic in May, with the event moving in 2021 to accommodate the TYR Pro Swim Series.

Historically, the Pro Swim Series has consisted of a series of 3.5-day long course events, each attracting hundreds of the world’s top swimmers, including USA Swimming National Team members, National Junior Team members and top-50 world ranked swimmers.

All attendees will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test before arrival to the competition venue and will be tested once again on-site prior to the start of competition.

The 2021 TYR Pro Swim Series at Indianapolis event will air on NBCSN, Olympic Channel and be live-streamed on usaswimming.org.
